Answer by Paul(988)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First number = x
Second number = 3x-4
Increased by 5:
(x)+(3x-4)+5=25
4x+1=25
4x=24
x=6 (first number)

3(6)-4=14 (second number)

Hence, the two numbers are 6 and 14.
