I assume you meant
If you meant , then use the same logic as shown below, get the answer x=6.
You need to get a common denominator. Two terms are already over (x-2), so use that
note that in order for the terms in this equation to be real, x cannot equal 2. If x=2, then the denominator is undefined
But we know from above that x=2 makes the equation undefined. So, there are not values of x that satisfy this equation.
