Question 142262: Movies at Your Fingertips allows customers to download an unlimited number of movies for $2.99 pewr movie,m. Downloadable Flix allows cotomers to download an unlimited number of movies for $1.50 per movie,m, if they are a member which costs $30.00 annually. Answer by nabla(475)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 F=2.99m
D=1.5m+30
Solve for where they're equal.
2.99m=1.5m+30
1.49m=30
m is approximately 20.
F(20)=2.99(20)=$59.80      **Better**
D(20)=1.5(20)+30=$60.00
F(21)=2.99(21)=$62.79
D(21)=1.5(21)+30=$61.50    **Better**
The Downloadable Flix plan is better if a person downloads more than 20 movies per year. Under and including 20, Movies at Your Fingertips is a better deal.
check:
F(10)=$29.90             **Better**
D(10)=15+30=45
