A brown-eyed woman whose father was brown-eyed and whose mother was blue-eyed married a blue-eyed man whose father and mother were both brown-eyed. The couple has a blue-eyed son. For which of the individuals mentioned can you be sure of genotypes? What are their genotypes? What genotypes are possible for the others?

brown eyes (Br) are dominant while blue eyes (bl) are recessive

the recessive phenotype has only one genotype bl-bl

the dominant phenotype has two genotypes Br-Br or Br-bl

if someone has the recessive phenotype, they must have the bl-bl genotype
__ if someone has the dominant phenotype, you need to look at the lineage

ALL of the people with blue eyes are bl-bl

the brown eyed woman is a hybrid (Br-bl) because her mother was recessive

there is not enough information to determine the woman's brown-eyed father's genotype

the man's brown-eyed parents are both hybrids (Br-bl)
