Question 109354: Help me figure out the lateral surface area and volume of a cone 16.5 cm high and the circle end is 11.6 cm. thanks
Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
LS=1/2SC C=CIRCUMFERANCE, S=SLANT HEIGHT.
LS=(11.6*16.5)/2
LS=95.7 CM^2.
VOLUME=1/3B*H
CIR=11.6=2*PI*R
11.6=2*3.14*R
11.6=6.28*R
R=11.6/6.28
R=1.85 CM IS THE RADIUS.
V=1/3*B*H
V=1/3(PI*R^2)H
V=1/3(3.14*1.85^2)16.5
V=177.3/3
V=59.1 CM^3 IS THE VOLUME.
