Nine more than thrice a smaller number is twice the bigger number. If thrice the bigger number is 26 more than twice the smaller number, then what are the numbers
3x+9 = 2y
3y = 2x+26
1.5x+4.5 = y
------------------------------------------
3(1.5x+4.5) = 2x+26
4.5x+13.5 = 2x+26
2.5x = 12.5
x = 5
2y = 3x+9
2y = 3(5)+9
2y = 24
y = 12
