Rachael's age now = r
==> Roberto's age now = r-24
r - 2 = 2((r-24) - 2)
r - 2 = 2(r-26)
r-2 = 2r - 52
-2 + 52 = r
50 = r, Rachael's age now, and Roberto's age now = r - 24 = 26.
