1) Aaron is 50 years younger than Maggie. 5 years ago, Maggie's age was 3 times Aaron's age. How old is Aaron now?
2)Nate is 5 years older than April. In 5 years the sum of their ages will be 59. How old is Nate now?
Let Aaron's current age be A

Then Maggie's is: A + 50

Also, A + 50 - 5 = 3(A - 5)

A + 45 = 3A - 15

Solve for A, Aaron's current age



Let Nate's current age be N

Then April's is: N - 5

Also, N + 5 + N - 5 + 5 = 59

2N + 5 = 59

Solve for N, Nate's current age
