HOW TO FIND THE SLOPE OF A LINE BETWEEN TWO POINTS

There is a formula for the slope between two points that looks like this:
m=+%28RISE%29%2F%28RUN%29+=+%28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29+

What this means is to find the difference in the y coordinates (that means to subtract the y values), divided by the difference in the x coordinates (subtract the x values)! Be sure to ALWAYS have the Y's on top!! Always be consistent and when you subtract the y coordinates, be sure you subtract the x coordinates in the same order.

m+=+%282-%28-4%29%29+%2F%284-1%29+
m=+6%2F3
m=2
