Question 255872: Hi. I have a question on my homework that I have no idea how to solve. Okay:
Write the equation of each line using the given informaton:
(1/2,3),(1,11/2)
The / sign is not used as a division sign in this problem. Those are fraction. Can you show me how in the world I can solve this?

Question 255869: Write the equation of each line using the given information.
1. m= 1/4, (4,3)
1/4 being one fourth NOT 1 divided by four.
2. m= -2/3, (6,-3)
Those are the two questions that I just don't know how to do on my homework. I JUST learned this very briefly and did not get a chance to understand or absorb the way to solve these. Can you give me a step by step example to one of these so I understand this a little better?

Question 256057: i need help with this:
Find the common solution to the following pair of lines by graphing them on the same axes.
3x + 2y = 6
x - y = 2
The lines intersect at (?,? ).
the answer is (2,0). i was wondering how they got (2,0). I have graphed this every way i could think of and never got (2,0). here are the answers i got:
(-2,4), (-4,2), (2,4), (4,2), (4,-2), (2,-4), (-2,-4), (-4,-2).
did i do that right and there's a glitch? or did i do that wrong without realizing?
