Question 77478: Please help, I began solving letter see, but I'm not sure if it is correct.
In most businesses, increasing prices of products can negatively impact the number of customers. A bus company in a small town has an average number of riders of 800 per day. The bus company charges $2.25 for a ride. They conducted a survey of their customers and found that they will lose approximately 40 customers per day for each $.25 increase in fare.
a. Let the number of riders be a function of the fare charged. Graph the function, identify the graph of the function, and find the slope of the graph.
b. The bus company determined that even if they set the price very low, there are a maximum number of riders permitted each day. If the price is $0 (free), how many riders are permitted each day?
c. If the bus company sets the price too high, no one will be willing to ride the bus. Beginning at what ticket price will no one be willing to ride the bus?

Question 77459: Ok stan h. you go this..
-(6x-24+3x^2)/(5-26x+ 5x^2)
=(3^2+6x-24)/(5x^2-26x+5)
=3(x^2+2x-12)/(5x^2-25x-x+5)
=3(x^2+2x-12)/(5x(x-5)-(x-5))
=3(x^2+2x-12)/(x-5)(5x-1)
But what would the x equal to??

Problem # 17
A home-based company produces both hand-knitted scarves and sweaters. The scarves take 2 hours of labor to produce, and the sweaters take 14 hours. The labor available is limited to 40 hours per week, and the total production capacity is 5 items per week. Write a system of inequalities representing this situation, where x is the number of scarves and y is the number of sweaters. (You do not need to solve or graph.)

a. 0
b. 1
c. 2
d. 3
I am not sure how to draw the graph to show what it looks like so I will try to explain it. The line comes up from the bottom of quadrant 3 and it goes to the right of (-1,-1)and continues up to (0,2)it then curves down thru (1,0)to (2,-2)and then curves up to just left of (3,0)and keeps going upward.

Question 78668: A small company produces both doll houses and sets of doll furniture. The doll houses take 3 hours of labor to produce, and the furniture sets take 8 hours. The labor available is limited to 400 hours per week, and the total production capacity is 100 items per week. Existing orders require that at least 20 doll houses and 10 sets of furniture be produced per week. Write a system of inequalities representing this situation, where x is the number of doll houses and y is the number of furniture sets. Then graph the system of inequalities.
