Question 76562: Please help me work out and graph y = 2x + 1/x -1
I know that x cannot equal 1 but do not know where to go from here. I have tried to subsitute other numbers for x to find the value of y but my grapgh looks very wrong. I am getting very confused.

I need a step by step explaination of this problem's solution. i have tried it many different times. My graphing calculator is telling me that the answer is -3.23, but everytime i do the problem manually, i get a different answer - usually 3.26 or 3.24 or even 3.65, so... can you help?
