Question 65645: Draw the appropriate graphs in each of the following.
A small firm produces both AM and AM/FM car radios. The AM radios take 15 h to produce, and the AM/FM radios take 20 h. The number of production hours is limited to 300 h per week. The plant’s capacity is limited to a total of 18 radios per week, and existing orders require that at least 4AM radios and at least 3 AM/FM radios be produced per week. Write a system of inequalities representing this situation. Then, draw a graph of the feasible region given these conditions, in, which x is the number of AM radios and y the number of AM/FM radios.

Question 65783This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
: Find the slope of the line through the following pairs of points:
(-5, -3) and (-5, 2). I tried to graph this in excel according to the way the book describes..(placing dots at the desired points, then connecting those dots with a line going through them to find the slope.) I have tried this and the dots I can not figure out where and how to place them. The lines are hard to determine the points because there are no ends to them even though I chose the one that has the circles at each end of the line to determine the start and end of each point. I would greatly appreciate any help you could assist me with this. Thanks

Question 65786This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
: Find the slope of the line through the given points.
On the graph in the book if I counted the squares from the + x and y intersection from left to right I have 2. Then if I count the squared going up the graph for y I have 4th top square for the first point. For the second point counting in the same direction I have 6. Then I count down to 3 bottom corner of the square. These are the two points on the graph needed to find the slope. I would greatly appeciate any help given. Thanks.

Question 65967: Please help me sketch this equation: X^3-X^2-16X+16
I need to find the X and Y intercepts and the max and min points.
I figured out the y-intercept to be (0,16) and the x-intercepts to be (1,0), (4,0) and (-4,0).
I am having trouble with the max/min points. This is what I have so far.
I took the derivitive for the max.
Y=X^3-X^2-16X+16
Y=3X^2-2X-16
let y=0
0=(3x-8)(x+2)
x=8/3 x=-2
This is where I get stuck. If you could help me the max/min, that would be great. Thankyou!
Sincerely,
Leanne Spence
