Question 53462: Well my teacher started with Slope which I understand perfectly. Than he showed us Standard form, Slope-Intercept form, and Point Slope form. For our homework he gave us 4 problems, 1.The points (-5,2) and (6,-4) 2.m=3/4 and the point (3,5) 3.-3/4x=5/3y-5 and 4.6-4x=3y. With those he wants us to find the equation for all the forms, slope and a graph. I just don't understand how to do that! If you could please explain how, that would be wonderful. Thanks a lot!

Question 54186: What is the equation for the line represented by this graph? (I don't know how to put a graph on here to show, so I will describe it. It is a straight line with arrows at each end going up from left to right, it passes through 2 on the x-axis and -1 on the y-axis)
My thought was that I would count so you go over 2 to the left, which would give me -2x and down 1 so that is -1. My answer would be y= -2x -1, but I am not sure I am doing it right. Can anyone help without seeing the graph?
