Question 53462: Well my teacher started with Slope which I understand perfectly. Than he showed us Standard form, Slope-Intercept form, and Point Slope form. For our homework he gave us 4 problems, 1.The points (-5,2) and (6,-4) 2.m=3/4 and the point (3,5) 3.-3/4x=5/3y-5 and 4.6-4x=3y. With those he wants us to find the equation for all the forms, slope and a graph. I just don't understand how to do that! If you could please explain how, that would be wonderful. Thanks a lot!

: HELP!! I am stumped.
Determine the center and radius of each circle and sketch the graph.
#28. x squared + (y-2)squared =16
Determine the center and radius of each circle and sketch the graph.
#50. x squared + 10x +y squared - 8y = -40
Find the slope of each line described.
#58. a line parallel to 3x-9y=4
Write an equation in standard from using only intergers for each of the lines described. In each case make a sketch.

Question 53767: Verify that these three points: (0,0) and (2a,0) and (a, a*sqrt3) are the vertices of an equilateral triangle. Then, when you get that done, show that the midpoints of the three sides are the vertices of a second equilateral triangle.
I did the first part of the problem, but I can't get my numbers right to show that the midpoints are equilateral. Please help!

Question 53765: A hot air balloon is headed due east at a constant altitude of 200 feet, going 30 mph steady speed. It passes over Rover the dog, who is sitting still. Find an expression for the distance (in feet) from Rover to the balloon as a function of time (in seconds).
I figured out that 30 mph= 44.02 feet per second.
Also, I know to use the pythag thereom, but I can't simplify it from there. Help!

Question 53829: A baby weighs 9 pounds at birth and gained weight at a constant rate of 1/2 pound each week for the first 12 weeks of life. On a graph put baby's weight at the end of each week on y axis and baby's age in weeks on the x axis. How do I find the slope of the line segment between baby's weight at birth and her weight at 12 weeks?

Question 54186: What is the equation for the line represented by this graph? (I don't know how to put a graph on here to show, so I will describe it. It is a straight line with arrows at each end going up from left to right, it passes through 2 on the x-axis and -1 on the y-axis)
My thought was that I would count so you go over 2 to the left, which would give me -2x and down 1 so that is -1. My answer would be y= -2x -1, but I am not sure I am doing it right. Can anyone help without seeing the graph?
