Your answer to #1 is good. You used X for hours at the grocery store and Y for hours at
the clothing store.

#2, slope-intercept form to model the earnings?
You already have earning modeled using two unknown variables X and Y and that was done
in standard form. Earning is based on two variable terms and this is done properly using
standard form. Slope intercept form would only isolate one variable for hours or the other.
You can either solve for X as a function of Y; or solve for Y as a function of X.

#3, again you could model earnings as a function of X and Y hours. X and Y remain as unknowns.
