Question 99067: Any help will be appreciated with the following.
Find the slope and the intercepts of each line.
g(x)=54x-1

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
g(x)=54x-1
the equation is in the slope-intercept form: y=mx+b where m=slope. g(x)=y
so the slope is 54.
the y interscept is where the line crosses the central y line where x=0
So when x=0 y=-1 (0,-1)
the x interscept is where the line crosses the central x line where y=0
So when y=0 54x-1=0...54x=1...x=1/54... (1/54,0)
Finito.
