Question 979159: Hello, I currently am having trouble with graphs. I have a problem that says:
"In order to obtain the graph of y= - /2x/+3, the graph of y=/x/ is _____ compressed by a factor of 2. This graph is then reflected about the ____. Finally the graph is shifted 3 units ____."
Thank you for any help I really appreciate it.

The absolute value function is not really being compressed. It is being stretched by a factor of 2, and then the negative sign reflects it over the x-axis. After that, it is being lifted upward by 3 units.
