1.(f*g)(x)=8/x+7
2.(g*f)(x)=

Those look like multiplication of functions, not function composition.

Using #2 as example,

, and this is the best way to show this product function, because this should be undefined for x at 0.

I do not understand quite what you are showing for #1. multiplying g and f is the same as multiplying f by g.
