3x-9=27
ok here is a good way to start i had problems with this kind of problems too dont worry and always come for help.
3x-9=27
you are going to have to move some numbers around like this
3x=9+27
you need to turn the 9 to positive because when its moved to the other side it changes signs
ok solve
3x=36
then since 3x is being multiplied you are going to have to to the opposite which is divide
x=12 and that is your answer

3x-9=2
add 9 to both sides. 3x=2+9=11
divide 3 into both sides. x=11/3
