Question 949704: How to find the y int of a quadratic graph that does not pass the y-int line? but my teachers key shows an answer

-2x square -12x -14
y-int=-14

Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The graph of the equation crosses the y axis at -14.
The point (or points) where the graph crosses the y axis is the y-intercept, also determined by setting x to zero: =. If the graph does not cross the y axis, there is no y intercept.Example: vertical lines, such as x=1 are not solvable for x=0.
