The equation is solved for Y already!
All we have to do is put some dots on graph paper so we can draw a straight line
if x=0 then y=0 (0,0)(a dot)
if x=1 then y=-1 (1,-1)(another dot)
if x=-1 then y=1 (-1,1) (a 3rd dot)
your graph should look like the graph below.
