Question 936697: Maria is having a birthday party for her friend Miguel. A total of 50 people will be at the party. She currently has 8 sodas. what inequality can be used to determine how many 12-packs of soda (x) she should buy so that each person can have at least two sodas?
I don't understand how to write the equation for this, please assist me?

the minimum number of sodas she needs = 50*2 = 100
---
she already has 8 sodas ...
so she needs this number of additional sodas = 100 - 8 = 92
---
x = number of 12-packs of soda to buy
---
x >= 92/12
x >= 7.6666666666
---
since she can't buy fractions of 12-packs, she must buy 8 packs
