Am I off to a good start?
2x+y=2
y=2x+4
2/2+ 4/2
y=x+3
(0,2) okay I need another solution for the problem. I'm not sure how to go about getting it. Please help

Let's see what inconsistent means.

Assuming that the x and the y variables mean the
same in the two equation you can subtract one from
the other and get 0 = 2

But that is false
---------------
It happened because you assumed 2x in each equation
could be replaced by some number and y in each equation
could be replaced by some number.

Obviously that assumption is wrong.
That is why the system is called inconsistent.

There is no solution to the system of equations.

If you graphed the two equations you would get
two parallel line. There is no point that is on
both lines.
