Question 91473: Find the horizontal asymptote of F(x) = 3x/x^2-4
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the horizontal asymptote of F(x) = 3x/x^2-4
--------
As x gets larger and larger the value of F(x) gets more and
more dependent on the value of the highest power term: x^2
----------
x^2 gets larger and larger in the denominator so the fraction
gets closer and closer to zero
---------------
The horizontal asymptote is y=0

Cheers.
