Write the equation of the line with slope -1/2 (fraction) and y-intercept (0, 3). Then graph the line.
The eq'n to the line will be of the form y = mx+c
where m = slope of the line = -1/2
c = y -intercept = 3
Therefore the eq'n becomes , y = -1/2.x+3
multiply by 2 throughout
2y = -x+6
2y+x = 6 is the required eq'n
To draw the graph y = -x/2+3
