Question 889506: the function y=ln x+2 has a y-intercept at y=
(a) 0
(b) 1
(c) 2
(d) e
(e) There is no y-intercept
I originally put the function into my calculator at y= and typed in ln(x+2) giving me a y-intercept of 1.
afterwards I tried ln(x)+2 and got no y-intercept. Which is correct? Thank you for your help and time!

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=ln(x+2)
----
At the y-int, x = 0
--> ln(2)
-----------
If it's y = ln(x) + 2
--> no y-int
