Question 888645: How do I graph the system below and write its solution?
{y=(1/3)x + 3
{-2x + y = -2
I can also answer "No solution" or "Infinitely many" solutions

Answer by josgarithmetic(39620)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
{y=(1/3)x + 3
{-2x + y = -2

Might be easier in slope-intercept form:
{ , so has (0,3);
{ , so has (0,-2).
Use the slope to find other points on each line starting from its y-intercept. Vertical change divided by horizontal change is the meaning of slope.

They appear to intersect and therefore have a solution at about (3,4). You can check the values to see if they satisfy both equations.
