A straight line passes through the points (2, 2) and (17, 7)
(i) Calculate the gradient of the line.
(ii) Find the equation of the line.
Would be much help, as I just can't solve it.

(2, 2) and 

(17, 7)  m(gradient) = -5/-15 = 1/3

Using point-slope

y - 2 = (1/3)(x-2)

  y = (1/3)x - 3/2 + 4/2

  y = (1/3)x + 1/2  0r x - 3y = -3/2
