Question 86444: im having problems with my algebra.
can you help me with the solution to 3x-y=6
and 2x-y=8
Answer by scianci(186) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Combine the equations in such a manner so that either the x terms or the y terms cancel each other out. Then solve for the remaining variable. Finally, plug this in to one of the original equations and solve for the other variable [the one you initially cancelled out.] In this case, I recommend making the y terms cancel and solving for x.
