x^2-y=6
y = x^2 - 6 |Solving for y to get the Vertex Form
Parabola opening Upward (coefficient of x^2 > 0), C(0,-6)
Line of Symmetry the y-axis (x = 0). P(2,-2) on the parabola (substituting x = 2)

the vertex form of a Parabola opening up(a>0) or down(a<0),
where(h,k) is the vertex and x = h is the Line of Symmetry
