Question 836215: determine it the lines are parallel, perpendicular or neither
-x+3y=11
3x+y=12

They are not parallel since they intersect at x = 5/2, y = 9/2
slope of one is -3
slope of -x+3y=11 is 1/3
so they are perpendicular
