Which equation has a graph that is a vertical line?
A. 2x = y
B. 3x - 2 = 0
C. y + 5 = 3
D. x - y = 0
The answer is B, but I do not understand. Could you please explain this?

You have to imagine that you are on a vertical
line, and you can move up or down but you
have to stay on the vertical line.
Whenever you move, you check your
(x,y) which defines your location on the
x-y plane.
You notice that x never changes, no matter
what y is.

B.


This says " I don't care what y is, I alway want
x to be 2/3." This is the same situation.
