A line has a slope of -1/2 the point(4,-4)
where does the line cross the x and y axis?
------------------
Form: y = mx + b
Solve for "b":
-4 = (-1/2)(4) + b
-4 = -2 + b
b = -2 (that is the y-intercept)
-------
Equation: y = (-1/2)x -2
-------
x-intercept...??
Solve (-1/2)x - 2 = 0
(-1/2)x = 2
x = -4 (that is the x-intercept)
