If you are graphing in two dimensions, draw the xy coordinate system.
Draw a vertical line at x=5 (draw that with dashes, not as a solid line.
The half-place to the left of the vertical line is the solution set
for your inequality because all of the point to the left of x=-5
have an x-value less than -5..
