Problem: The value, v, of a shopkeeprs inventory software program is given by v = -1/3t + 3, where t is the number of years since the shopkeeper bought the program. What is the program worth six years after it is first purchased.
Graph the point that shows that the program is worth 6 years after it is first purchased.
What I have done so far:
Formula for one year: -1/3 * 1 + 3
Formula for six years: -1/3 * 6 + 3
-1/3 made into a fraction is-1 divided by -3 = 0.33 or .33
Then:
.33 * 6 = 2
2 + 3 = 5
My problem is, how do I then take this and turn it into graph points?
(if it helps, my graph I have to plot it on only goes up to 10)
