Question 80517: How do I graph 3x+2y=6?
Answer by E86(1)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

First solve for y. Get why by itself on one side, and you end up getting y = -3/2 + 3. Have you heard the formula y = mx + b? Well 3 is your b in this case, so on a graph, plot (0,3). No for the mx portion. In this case you have -3 over 2. Think of it as over 2, down -3. So start from your point (0,3), and move over 2, down 3. Do this until you get a nice line. When your finished, it should start in the upper left portion of your graph, and cut across to the lower right potion.
