Substitution is 1 method.

y-2x=4
y = 2x + 4
Sub for y in the 1st eqn
---
3y - 4x = 12
3(2x+4) - 4x = 12
Solve for x.
6x + 12 - 4x = 12
2x = 0
x = 0
-----------------
Then solve for y.
-----------
y = 2x + 4
y = 4
