The absolute value of 0 is 0, so the -coordinate of the intercept is just -10 * 0 + 10 = 10.

No matter what value you put into the absolute value function, the value of the function is non-negative. In order for to be zero, which is necessary for the -intercept, |x| has to equal 1, so that you have -10 * 1 + 10 = 0. So which two different values can you put inside of the absolute value so that the value of the absolute value function is 1? Certainly 1 works, but what is the other one?
