Question 769880: what value of m will make 4x-7y+my=3 parallel
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two lines that are parallel
have the same slope/ gradient/ m
Sort out 4x - 7y + my = 3
into the form: y = mx + c
- 7y + my = - 4x + 3
(7 - m)y = 4x - 3
y = 4/7-m x - 3/7 - m
Any other line with m = 4/7-m
will be parallel to this one.
Hope this helps.
