Question 746488: Find the x-coordinates for the points of inflexion of F(x)=2(x)^4-8(x)+3
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
F(x) = 2x^4 - 8x + 3
F'(x) = 8x^3 - 8
F'(x) = 0
8x^3 - 8 = 0
8(x^3 - 1) = 0
x = 1
Checking values before and after
x = 1 in F'(x) shows that this is
a pt of inflexion
Co.ords (1, -3)
