Graph 2x - y = 4



To graph an equation, WE can make a table of values of x and y



Assume values of x and substitute them to the equation to find y



Example:  when x = 0             when x = 2

          2x - y = 4             2x - y = 4

        2(0) - y = 4           2(2) - y = 4

              -y = 4              4 - y = 4

               y = -4                 y = 0

plot the points (0,-4) and (2,0)

Draw a line passing through the points
