Question 725501: What is the inequality for 2y+7<17? I tried subtracting the 7 from each side, but now I'm confused.
Answer by AmparoV(10)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2y+7<17 you did the right thing by subtracting 7 to both sides. It would cancel on the left side and yyou would be left with 2y<10. Then you would divide both sides by 2 where it would cancel on the left and your answer would be y<5.
Hope this helps.
