Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find if they are perpendicular you need to put them in slope-intercept form and find the slope of each;
4y=x+5
y=x+
slope =
9y+3x=2
9y=-3x+2
y=x+
slope = =
For two lines to be perpendicular, the condition is that the slopes are negative reciprocals.
So these are not perpendicular
