Question 717858: The two equations that make up a system of two equations in two variables are graphed as lines which have different slopes and different y-intercepts. How many ordered pairs are there? Or is it no solution?
Answer by KMST(5328)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One solution. The ordered pair is the coordinates of the point where the lines intersect.
Parallel lines (same slope, different intercept) would mean no solution.
The same line (same slope and intercept) would mean infinity of solutions: all the points in the line.
