The equation can be simplified a little
by multiplying both sides by -1. If it was an equality
instead of an inequality, that's all you'd have to do.
When you multiply both sides by -1 in this case, you have
to reverse the inequality sign.

This equation is exactly equivilant to the
one you started with. To support the argument, I'll
try some values

------------
y = 10
x = 5
equation is true
y = 5
x = -1
equation is true
now try the other equation

-----------
y = 10
x = 5
equation is true
y = 5
x = -1
equation is true
If it's true for one, it's true for the other
If it's false for one, it's false for the other
To graph, is just everthing above the
line that goes through the origin with a +1 slope.
