This is a piecewise function. You only graph 4-x^2 when x <= 0, so you basically only graph 4-x^2 for negative x values and 0. This is shown in green

Then you add on the graph of 4-x but you only graph this when x > 0 (ie for positive x only). This is shown in blue.




Note: there is a closed circle at the endpoint of the green graph and an open circle at the endpoint of the blue graph.
