Solve the system by graphing.
1. Write the following equation in slope-intercept form y = mx +b, where m = slope and b = y-intercept. we'll do this so that we can graph it easily.
--> x-y=2
y = x - 2
m = 1 , b = -2 (y-intercept (0, -2)
Here is the graph for y = x - 2
--> 3x-3y=6
3y = 3x - 6
y = x - 6
m= 1, b = -6 (y-intercept (0, -6)
Here is the graph of y = x - 6
================================
Answer: green line represents the graph of y = x - 2
red line represents the graph of y = x - 6
Since the lines were parallel therefore there is no solution. It is classified as Independent and Inconsistent system.
