the y intercept is -4
Plot (0, -4)
the x intercept is where y = 0
0 = x - 4
4 = x
x = 4(-2)
x = -8
Plot (-8, 0)
Draw a line through the intercepts.

the x intercept is where y = 0
0 = x + 12
