What is the vertex of the graph for the equation y=|2x-4|-9?
------------
The least value |2x-4| can take is zero.
When does that happen?
It happens when 2x-4=0 or x=2
And when x=2, y=0-9=-9
------------
That is the vertex: (2,-9)

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = |2x - 4| - 9
form: y = a|bx - h| + k
vertex: (-h/b,k)
vertex: (2,-9)
