Question 660836: I really need help with this problem:
Graph and give the domain and range.
I figured out the domain and range.
Domain- [-2,positive infinity)
Range- [0, positive infinity)
I just don't know how to graph it.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out.
Thank you.

Hi, there--

Problem:
Graph and give the domain and range.

Answer:
Your domain and range are correct.

The graph of looks exactly like the graph of except it is shifted 2 units to the left.

The graph looks a little like a half a parabola laying on its side (opening to the right.) The
graph of your equation intersects the x-axis at (-2,0).

To get a sketch of the graph, make a quick (x,y) table:

x y
-2 0
-1 1
2 2
7 3
14 4

Remember that x≥2, and y≥0.

You can see a picture of the graph if you google "graph y=sqrt(x+2)" (Don't include quotation
marks.)

Hope this helps! Feel free to email, if you still have questions.
